These are great herbs to have in your garden:
Basil- is easy to grow and so aromatic, delicious in all of your Italian dishes.
Mint- very flavorful, good to use for homemade tea. Wonderful in refreshing summer drinks.
Lemon Balm - Useful as a beautiful green ground cover, aromatic, tasty, useful in various recipes
Cilantro- A must have for chileheads. A definite ingredient for salsa.
Thyme- Easy to grow and beautiful in the garden. A basic herb for many dishes.
Rosemary- Is an herb useful in bouquet garni. Gives flavor to many recipes.
Sage- Very pungent and aromatic, used in many poultry dishes. The American Indians used it to clean the air.
Oregano- Medicinal value is very high, similar to thyme. Wonderful in Italian food.
